This building at 9th and Willow has been abandoned for years. It was built in 1927 by the Philadelphia Electric Company as part of Center City’s steam system. I was drawn to the building by stacks at the top and the extensive graffiti.
This handsome While Tailed Deer was photographed back in October. This is one of those images that just worked so much better in black and white. I particularly like the fine detail in the deer’s coat and antlers.
It’s rutting season! I spotted this handsome white-tailed buck last weekend at Palmyra Cove Nature Center. There was a larger buck with a much bigger rack in the same area, but I wasn’t able to get a decent shot. Hopefully this weekend, I’ll get a second chance.
